BAMBOO developed out of a collaboration between Imagineer, Orit Azaz and NoFit State Circus to explore what structures, stories, and circus can be created with UK-grown bamboo. An outdoor show that looks great indoors: with live music and lots of joy, Bamboo has thus far performed 130 times in 6 different countries.

The inspiration as director was a joyful respite for audiences, allowing them to share how beautiful and useful the much-maligned plant really is. The performers are thoroughly engaged in building for no reason and dismantling for fun. It is in the moment with others, doing ridiculous things with what is essentially grass.
